The BDS Group of Companies are wholly Australian Owned and manufacture from their factories at Crestmead on the southern outskirts of Brisbane, Queensland.
Their main manufacturing is carried out in their two Brisbane plants and they employ some 120 workers. Distribution is handled through their own warehouse/sales offices in Perth WA, Adelaide SA, Melbourne Vic & Sydney NSW, supported by the head office and distribution centre at Creastmead, Queensland.
BDS Manufactures a large range of shelving systems servicing retailers, wholesales, speciality outlets and cold room manufacturers in addition to Australia's largest range of shop fitting equipment. Their production capacity caters for all in-house operations including timber joinery, metal shelving, tube punching and welding, sheet metal division, wire products division, powder coating in both batch and automatic lines, along with their own zinc and chrome plating plants.
The company is a major supplier to hardware, grocery, discount varierty and speciality retailers throughout Australia.
BDS has built its business as the Australian manufacturer with the ethic of "on time all the time" driving its business. Their supply experience ranges from orders exceeding $1 milion plus to a few hundred dollars for a local shop fitter.
In June of 2006 the company won "Premier of Queensland Smart State Award 2006" for small to medium businesses in the mining and manufacturing sector. This award was in recognition of their efforts in building and continuing to grow a manufacturing enterprise that has implemented state-of-the-art machinery and processes in its day-to-day operations.
